Förra året deltog familjen och jag i en serie intervjuer som resulterade i boken ”Surrogacy Stories – 20 extraordinary journeys to parenthood”. Boken är utgiven i Australien och finns att beställa på Barnes & Noble, eller på Amazon.
Häromveckan kom en recension om boken på The Progress Educational Trust (PET), Bionews från Dr Kirsty Horsey, Senior Research Associate på London Women’s Clinic, och som forskat om surrogatmödraskap under 25 år.
Dr Kirsty Horsey säger bland annat:
”I have been researching surrogacy for 25 years and, in that time, it’s always been hard to find personal accounts of what undertaking surrogacy is actually like – other than the odd feature in the newspapers. There aren’t many books detailing personal stories of surrogacy, especially recent ones, and certainly none with many and varied – and raw – accounts of different, intimate journeys.”
”However, what the book also illustrates very clearly is that no-one seeks out surrogacy as their first choice. While obviously helpful for (potential) intended parents and surrogates to read, especially those seeking overseas arrangements (not least because of the information in the Appendix), I hope this book is also read by people who are ambivalent about surrogacy.”

P.S. Boken, om än inte recensionen, tar också upp Moscow Baby, som är en romantiserad berättelse om två män som väljer att skaffa barn via surrogatmamma i Moskva, ”based on a true story.”

Moscow Baby är en laddad relationsroman om kärlek, uppoffringar, rädsla och drömmar.
Efter närmare ett kvartssekel utomlands, har Håkan nu flyttat hem till Sverige med familjen. I romanen Skuggan av paradiset återvänder han till sin gamla barndomsstad Göteborg.
